Japan international midfielder Daichi Kamada has signed a new one-year contract with Crystal Palace, with the Premier League club securing his services until the summer of 2027.
The 29-year-old joined Palace from Serie A club Lazio in 2024 and has since become a key figure in its midfield, making 89 appearances across all competitions and helping the south London club win the FA Cup in 2025 and the UEFA Conference League this year.
The first Japanese player in Palace¡¯s history, Kamada scored in the 2026 Conference League semifinal and has won the club¡¯s Player of the Month award twice.

Kamada played an important part in Japan¡¯s 2026 World Cup campaign, scoring in the Samurai Blue¡¯s first two matches and stepping into a more prominent defensive role as captain Wataru Endo missed out due to injury.
Describing the new deal as ¡°fantastic news,¡± Palace chairman Steve Parish called Kamada a fan favorite and said he had turned down ¡°many options¡± in order to return to south London.
¡°Daichi will now have a well-earned break after his excellent World Cup and join us later in pre-season as we enter a busy Premier League and European season,¡± he added.
