Mai Yamamoto is ready to take on a new challenge.
The point guard has for years starred domestically for the Toyota Antelopes in the Women¡¯s Japan Basketball League, and has also played for Japan¡¯s national team, including at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Yamamoto¡¯s latest challenge on the hardwood will be with Project B, a new global basketball league set to debut this winter. The ambitious startup has assembled an impressive roster that includes some of the cream of the crop from the WNBA, and Yamamoto is eager to test her skills against them.
