Cordell Tinch of the U.S. won the gold medal in the 110-meter hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo on Tuesday, finishing in 12.99 seconds. Jamaicans Orlando Bennett and Tyler Mason took the silver and bronze.
Japan¡¯s Rachid Muratake missed out on the podium, finishing in fifth place with a time of 13.18 seconds.
¡°When I crossed the finish line I felt relieved,¡± Tinch said. ¡°I came into this season with the goal of winning the world title. I wanted to be the best hurdler in the world ... I did what I was supposed to do. Keeping the medal with America is fantastic.¡±
