Ramu Tokashiki has officially begun her brand-new journey with the Storm as she made her WNBA regular-season debut in Seattle¡¯s 86-61 season-opening win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday at KeyArena.

The 191-cm forward came off the bench with 4:40 left in the first quarter, for Abby Bishop. Tokashiki played 20 minutes, racking up six points, one rebound and a pair of blocks, in the game.

She was perfect from the free-throw line, going 4-for-4.

Guard Renee Montgomery knocked down three 3-pointers to lead the Storm with 19 points.

The game drew 9,686 fans.

It seemed that Tokashiki¡¯s JX-Eneos Sunflowers teammates, friends and family came all the way from Japan to attend the game.

¡°So many people came and cheered for me, including JX-Eneos (teammates), Japanese fans, family and friends,¡± Tokashiki tweeted after the game. ¡°A wonderful season will begin.¡±

Seattle will be headed to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for its next game on Tuesday against the Tulsa Shock.
