Lima ¨C Peru¡¯s Keiko Fujimori had been seen as a perennial political loser, running for president three times and failing all three ¡ª until now.
On this, her fourth attempt, the daughter of disgraced late President Alberto Fujimori won, by the slimmest of margins.
The final count showed her beating leftist Roberto Sanchez by fewer than 50,000 votes, of the the more than 18 million ballots that were cast.
