The government¡¯s top spokesman said Monday that Tokyo is analyzing ¡°with great interest¡± a trove of previously classified files on alleged UFO sightings released by the Pentagon on Friday ¡ª including two videos of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) spotted near Japan.??
¡°Regarding incidents related to our national security ¡ª including UAPs ¡ª we are constantly gathering and analyzing information with great interest, while maintaining close coordination with the United States and other countries,¡± Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara told a regular news conference.
Asked about the possibility of Japan disclosing any similar UAP files it maintains, Kihara said the government would ¡°make specific, case-by-case decisions after comprehensively considering various factors, including the risk of our intelligence-gathering capabilities being exposed.¡±
