Thousands of people have been killed across the Middle East in the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, which began when the U.S. and ?Israel struck Iran on Feb. 28. Those strikes triggered Iranian attacks on Israel, U.S. bases and the Gulf states, while opening a new front in Lebanon.

U.S.-based rights group HRANA said 3,540 people have been killed since the war erupted. It said 1,616 of those were civilians, including at least 244 children.
