U.S. President Joe Biden and former U.S. President Donald Trump swept to victory in statewide nominating contests across the country on Tuesday, setting up a historic rematch in November¡¯s general election despite low approval ratings for both candidates.
Trump won the Republican votes in a dozen states ¡ª including delegate-rich California and Texas ¡ª brushing aside Nikki Haley, who has decided to end her campaign in light of the results, the Wall Street Journal has reported.
Haley¡¯s only win of the night at the time of writing had come in Vermont, according to Edison Research.
