Osaka ¨C U.S. climate envoy John Kerry arrived in Tokyo on Tuesday ¡ª just two months before a key U.N. summit ¡ª for talks with Japanese leaders on their decarbonization efforts at home and the fight against climate change on the international stage.
Kerry¡¯s stop in Tokyo, as well as another in China¡¯s Tianjin later in the week, is part of a larger worldwide effort by the U.S. to push other nations to adopt strong decarbonization targets at the U.N. meeting in Glasgow, Scotland.
