Last year¡¯s monster hits ¡°Pokemon Omega Ruby¡± and ¡°Alpha Sapphire¡± are the theme to a new pop-up cafe in Shibuya. As Nintendo 3DS remakes of the 2002 Game Boy Advance titles ¡°Pokemon Ruby¡± and ¡°Sapphire,¡± the new versions, with beefed-up graphics and new content, sold more than two million copies in Japan last year.
Dubbed Pokemon Cafe Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the eatery celebrates the games¡¯ success by serving up an array of monster meals. The space is decked out with Pocket Monster motifs, and the various themed treats include Pikachu-shaped rice omelettes, Pokeball spicy tofu and Pokemon fried potatoes. For those with a sweet tooth, there are also Pikachu pancakes and Pokemon parfait among other desserts. To finish off your meal, why not get a latte topped off with Pikachu¡¯s adorable face. Gotta eat ¡®em all!
Pokemon Cafe Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is on the seventh floor of Shibuya Parco Part 1 and will be open until late next month. Limited-edition items are also available in the gift shop.
