Renowned for her charming paintings and picture-book illustrations of flowers and children, Chihiro Iwasaki found particular pleasure in creating artworks while traveling. Always working to the theme of ¡°peace and happiness for children,¡± she found inspiration through her explorations in Japan, various countries in Europe, and in Russia (then known as the Soviet Union.)
This exhibition takes visitors along Iwasaki¡¯s journeys to relive her adventures through her travel sketches of local scenery and portraits of people who she encountered.
