Daido Moriyama¡¯s gritty photography, which often showed the darker side of urban life in postwar Japan, has won him many awards, including the International Center of Photography in New York¡¯s Inifinity Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2012.

This exhibition is divided into three sections ¡ª ¡°World of Mesh,¡± ¡°Gaze of the Passerby¡± and ¡°Light and Shadow,¡± which includes works from his award-winning 1983 series of the same title. Moriyama¡¯s latest work, street snapshots taken in the Shinjuku and Ikebukuro areas, are also being displayed.
