To commemorate 150 years of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan, the Edo Tokyo Museum is hosting a special exhibition on Italy¡¯s most famous Renaissance Man: Leonardo da Vinci.
These works brings to Japan for the first time ¡°The Madonna of the Yarnwinder,¡± one of only 15 extant paintings attributed to Leonardo, his handwritten notebook ¡°Codice sul volo degli uccelli (Codex on the Flight of Birds),¡± and various sketches. Sixty works are being exhibited, including some by other artists influenced or inspired by Leonardo.
