¡°Where the Wild Things Are,¡± ¡°The Very Hungry Caterpillar¡± and ¡°Where¡¯s Waldo?¡± ¡ª these world-renowned children¡¯s books feature some of the most vivid and unforgettable illustrations that retain places in the hearts of readers all the way into adulthood.

In Japan, Koji Suzuki is an author-illustrator who creates such books. His bright, almost psychedelic colors and use of dramatic contrasts have delighted children and their parents for decades. This exhibition features original copies of Suzuki¡¯s picture books, including his major successes ¡°Enso-kun Kisha ni Noru¡± and ¡°Hone Hone Gaikotsu.¡± Also on display are about 40 live-painted illustrations and other newer works, including an giant flower monster made out of cardboard boxes; June 21-Aug. 31.
