This exhibition celebrates the 30th anniversary of the animated version of Raymond Briggs¡¯ popular children¡¯s book ¡°The Snowman.¡± Originally written in 1978, the picture book was adapted for the screen by Dianne Jackson in 1982, and it has since captivated audiences worldwide.

The story focuses on a little boy who creates a snowman that magically comes to life. The two then go on a wintry adventure that involves flying across the world. This tale became so popular that it has been retold in many forms, including as a stage play and a video game. A short animated sequel, ¡°The Snowman and the Snowdog,¡± was also made in 2012.

On show are original prints, animation storyboards, sketches and background illustrations; Dec. 18-Jan 6.
