A central figure in Paris during its eponymous School of Paris era, L¨¦onard Foujita (Tsuguharu Fujita, 1886-1968) found early success with portraiture and painting. While the female nude was often the subject of earlier works, after World War II, he changed his focus to make children a central theme.

Featuring some 180 pieces from the Pola Museum of Art, which holds one of the most comprehensive collections of Foujita¡¯s work, this special exhibition at Bunkamura The Museum traces the artist¡¯s career; Aug. 10-Oct. 14.
