In August of last year, the sleek, black Beau was featured here in need of a home. He has now found that home thanks to his new ¡°mom¡± Toshimi Kasai.
The new family unit resides in Tokyo¡¯s Shibuya Ward. When Kasai was growing up, her family had always had cats ¡ª all of which were rescue animals. ¡°So, it seemed natural to get another rescue,¡± she says.
Kasai was drawn to Beau by his photo but had another motive in choosing him.
¡°It was also because his owner had died,¡± she says. ¡°My father died a few years back, so reading that made me want all the more to invite Beau to live with me.¡±
Beau has grown to love his new home and his new mom, he likes to perch on knees in particular.
¡°He sits on my knees and even on the knees of guests,¡± she says with a laugh. He¡¯s also an avid sports fan.
¡°Bobo loves watching baseball, but isn¡¯t particularly interested in other TV programs,¡± Kasai informs us.
Kasai also points out that because she works and isn¡¯t always home in the day, she didn¡¯t want a kitten.
¡°As an adult, I wanted adult feline company, so I decided to adopt Bobo,¡± she says. Beau has also brough Kasai closer to her family and relatives. ¡°It¡¯s like having a new family member and he gives us so much more to talk about!¡±
