The move comes amid ongoing uncertainty over the long-term impact of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø on crude oil supplies, particularly the price and availability of engine oil, a product made from crude oil-derived naphtha.
At its April 30 briefing for the fiscal year that ended March 31, transport firm Yamato announced that, due to recent changes in the business environment, including a rise in fuel prices sparked by the U.S. and Israeli attack on Iran and the effective blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, it was discussing the introduction of a domestic fuel surcharge for corporate deliveries.
