The first-ever permanent outdoor park based on the popular anime and video game franchise Pokemon is set to open its door on Thursday in western Tokyo, a new tourism attraction that is expected to draw in visitors at home and abroad.
PokePark Kanto is to open within the premises of Yomiuriland, an amusement park that straddles Inagi, Tokyo, and Kawasaki in neighboring Kanagawa Prefecture.
It¡¯s already proving to be popular, with all presale tickets available up to the beginning of April having sold out.
